This poem is written in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King JR.

It is your time
To take to flight
To soar to new goal filled heights
Courage is not to walk without fear
Rather instead conquer it
By knowing it is there
And soothing it
With mindful care
Guided by that inner force
Spirit guided torch
Courage is to listen
Courage is
Not to ignore doubt
Rather ponder it and reroute
Let it remind you
Of how far you’ve come
And all that you’ve done
Courage is to look to the future
Despite any misapprehensions
Or past conditions
Aim high
Let your past be your ally
It's time to begin from the transition of change
From growing pains to gain
Wisdom to uplift

The strength

To all those

A diplomat for justice
